For Rent: Unique, Recently Renovated Studio in the Heart of Amsterdam
Welcome to my special, climate-friendly studio apartment, located in the historic center of Amsterdam, along one of the city's most beautiful canals. I have lived here for over 10 years with great pleasure and occasionally rent out the studio when I go on vacation or temporarily stay elsewhere.
About the Apartment: This recently renovated apartment is stylishly furnished with vintage design furniture, offering a modern and comfortable ambiance. The studio is equipped with all the essentials that contribute to a pleasant stay. You will find:
The studio has electric heating that cannot be manually adjusted but is controlled via Wi-Fi by me. For warm nights, there is a fan available. Additionally, all the basic ingredients for meal preparation are provided, such as salt, pepper, coffee, tea, honey, and sugar. Guests are welcome to use these.

Location: The studio is situated in the vibrant Nieuwmarkt and Lastage neighborhoods, one of the oldest parts of the city. Central Station is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. Enjoy the bustling nightlife with the Nieuwmarkt filled with cozy cafés and eateries nearby, as well as the famous Red Light District and Rembrandt Square, both just a 10-minute walk away. Additionally, the neighborhood is adjacent to Amsterdam's Chinatown, which contributes to the presence of authentic Asian restaurants and shops.
The Nieuwmarkt neighborhood itself is a charming destination with picturesque canals and historic buildings. The iconic square, known for its daily market, offers fresh produce, flowers, and local specialties. Numerous cozy cafés and restaurants ensure you can enjoy delicious meals and drinks. For history and culture enthusiasts, there are attractions like the Waag, which once served as the city's weighing house.
Despite its central location, the studio is surprisingly quiet. The hustle and bustle of the city dissipates quickly once you leave the Nieuwmarkt or the Red Light District. Moreover, street traffic is restricted during the weekend from 10 PM to 6 AM, adding to the serene atmosphere.
Parking Options: In the vicinity of the studio, parking is limited and quite expensive. Guests arriving by car are advised to park outside the city in the P+R lots. This is an economical option, and you can easily continue your journey to the center using public transport. Rules and Guidelines: This apartment is my personal residence, and I rent it out in good faith. I expect my guests to treat the studio as they would their own home. Smoking tobacco is not allowed, but in good consultation and by exception, it is permitted to occasionally smoke a cannabis joint. Parties are not allowed, and I kindly ask you to be mindful of the neighbors regarding music and noise after 10 PM.
Pets: In the studio, I share the care of a friendly cat named Tony with the neighbors. He can move freely through the pet door between the apartments. If you prefer not to have a pet around, the door can be closed upon request. For guests with allergies, there is an air purifier available that removes most allergens from the air. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival.
